The Resident Experience is Our Primary Focus
Our homelike, well-appointed center is designed to enhance resident experiences – from their living spaces to how we provide services.
At Baton Rouge Health Care Center, we embrace the diversity of the stories and interests of our patients. We believe therapy and care should reflect this individuality and cater to each patient’s preferences and functional goals through engaging therapy activities specifically designed for each patient.
Person-Centered Care
Our newly renovated center features spacious resident rooms, common areas and outdoor space that helps foster a wide variety of interests and needs. The renovations help support in form our philosophy of person-center care that sets us apart and guides the way we serve residents. Our focus on the individual means that we honor choices such as preferences for sleep, waking and bathing. Our dining experience offers choice and our amenities include a refreshment bar with drinks, coffee, soft serve ice cream and cookies that residents can enjoy at any time.
Caring for the whole person means that families and friends are integrally involved at Baton Rouge Health Care Center, helping to maintain relationships and connections to the community. Activities, visitors and volunteers of all ages bring a vibrant atmosphere to our center.

🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 BRHC Celebrates America 250! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
What an incredible day celebrating America’s 250th Birthday here at BRHC! Our residents and staff came together for a full day of patriotic fun, laughter, music, and fellowship as we honored this historic milestone in our nation’s history.
The celebration started with our Red, White, and Blue Coffee Call, where residents enjoyed coffee and delicious patriotic cinnamon rolls while visiting with friends and getting ready for the festivities ahead.
Next up was our exciting America 250 Bingo, filled with friendly competition, smiles, and plenty of lucky winners! Bingo is always a favorite around here, and today was no exception.
The fun continued into the afternoon with wonderful patriotic entertainment by Ken Wesley, who had residents singing along, clapping, dancing, and enjoying the music together.
Of course, no celebration would be complete without our festive red, white, and blue drinks and seeing everyone dressed in their patriotic colors to show their American pride!
At BRHC, we believe every occasion is worth celebrating, and today was a beautiful reminder of the freedoms we enjoy and the generations who helped shape our country over the last 250 years.
Thank you to our amazing residents, staff, families, and everyone who helped make this day so special. 🇺🇸 Here’s to 250 years of America and many more memories made together at BRHC!

Last night at Baton Rouge Healthcare Center, we were reminded once again that BRHC is so much more than a healthcare facility, we are a family. ❤️
Our Family & Friends Bingo Night was filled with laughter, excitement, friendly competition, and memories that will last a lifetime. Residents, family members, and staff came together under one roof to enjoy an evening full of fun, fellowship, and community spirit.
At BRHC, we believe that caring for our residents means caring for the people who love them as well. Seeing families sitting side by side with their loved ones, cheering each other on, celebrating bingo wins, and simply enjoying quality time together is what makes events like these so special.
Our staff, families, and residents truly know how to come together to create an atmosphere filled with love, joy, and connection. It takes a village, and we are proud to say that our BRHC village shows up every single time.
And because yesterday was National Catfish Day, we couldn’t let the occasion pass us by without celebrating Southern style! Of course, catfish was on the menu for everyone to enjoy, bringing even more smiles and making the evening feel even more like home. Nothing brings people together quite like good food, great company, and a little friendly bingo competition!
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff members who helped make the evening possible, our wonderful families who joined us, and of course our amazing residents who are the heart of everything we do.
The smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the room were a beautiful reminder that family isn’t always defined by blood, sometimes it’s built through compassion, care, and the moments we share together.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our Family & Friends Bingo Night such a success. We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to come together and make even more memories!
Because here at Baton Rouge Healthcare Center, we aren’t just a facility… we are FAMILY. ❤️🎉🎲🐟
