Our spacious, well-appointed center is designed to enhance resident experiences – from their living spaces to how we provide services. On-going evaluations of our day-to-day operations help create a journey to our culture change movement.

Person-Centered Care

Ridgecrest Community Care Center has been designed to complement our philosophy of person-centered care. Our spacious, well-appointed center allows us to provide care in an environment that makes residents feel at home. The resident rooms and many common areas, including living rooms, dining areas, library and chapel, provide the space for a wide variety of interests and needs.

The person-centered care philosophy extends to operations. Thick medical charts are being replaced by less intrusive electronic charting systems. And our dining includes table service, where residents are offered choices.

Established in 1994, CommCare Corporation is a Louisiana-based non-profit that began as owners and operators of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. CommCare has since embarked on a journey to provide more integrated, person-centered transitional care throughout the care continuum.

Rehab to Home

While many residents are able to return home, our goal is to get each individual functioning at their highest level and capability through physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Our fully equipped rehabilitation gym is staffed by physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.

Volunteers are integral to the CommCare experience, and volunteering at a CommCare community or hospice can be a rewarding experience! Teach an instrument, voice, or dance? Like to cook? Love to travel? We would love for you to share your passions with our residents and patients. The possibilities are limitless!

As a non-profit organization, part of our mission is education and outreach. We welcome you to use the resources in our library to get information on topics facing elders and their families. Resources in our library are targeted toward elders, and range from topics that address health and wellness, medical conditions, as well as information concerning Medicare or Medicaid benefits.
